We need your help!

Cyclovias are very exciting events but we need your help to make them happen in your area.

In most cases around the world, cyclovias have been possible because of the support of local residents, government official, local traders and/or road authorities. You can participate in the design and, development of running of a cyclovia by:

• Participating as a volunteer
• Advocating for a Cyclovia in your area
• Being a sponsor

Participating as a Volunteer

Volunteers are needed in all Cyclovias with all kinds of skills, but mainly to assist with putting out signs, directing participants and giving out information. Previous experience is not necessary, we will train you. Additionally, traffic management training will be provided free of charge to some volunteers before the event. We are planning Cyclovias in all major cities in Australia.

Advocating for a Cyclovia in your area

If you are a member of a community group, a bicycle user group, a charity organization or in general would like to support a Cyclovia in your city, we encourage you to start by explaining the Cyclovia concept and all its characteristics to the respective authorities. For this, feel free to use any information available in this page, particularly the one available in the multimedia section. If you prefer, we will be happy to provide you with a 3 minute promotional DVD or send you more information.
